Leg-spinner Kuldeep Yadav became the first bowler from India to pick two ODI hat-tricks. The Chinaman played a big part in India's win against West Indies at Vizag. He removed Shai Hope, Jason Holder, and Alzarri Joseph in 33nd over of visitors' 388-run chase.
Before Indian bowlers bundled out West Indies on 280, it was the batsmen who built pressure on them with a huge target.
The pitch at Vizag was batting friendly and Rohit Sharma took advantage of the assistance. His batting partner KL Rahul scored 102 while he added 159 runs. At once, it looked like he will get another double hundred.
Both, Rohit and Kuldeep were interviewed by Yuzvendra Chahal who was out of the side. Chahal introduced as Chintu and Mintu before asking about the performance.
Rohit revealed his gameplan to start cautiously and then capitalized on it. They had discussed the importance of long innings for at least one batsman from top-order during a team meeting. Sharma batted till 44th over.
On the other hand, Kuldeep was delighted to bag another hat-trick. He called this one more special because it came for him when needed the most.
