IND v WI 2018: COC Predicted India playing XI for the 4th ODI

IND v WI 2018: COC Predicted India playing XI for the 4th ODI

The fourth ODI between India and West Indies will be played at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.

Virat Kohli will once again be the beacon of hope for India |AFPIndia and West Indies currently stand 1-1 in the five-match ODI series after three matches. India won the first match in Guwahati, while the second match was tied in Vizag. Windies made a triumphant comeback in the series in Pune, winning the third ODI by 43 runs.

Now the caravan moves to Mumbai, where the Brabourne Stadium will host the fourth ODI between India and Windies on Monday (October 29). Team COC presents to you predicted India playing XI for the match.

Much of the team is expected to remain the same with the top order consisting of Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma. Dhawan showed some return to form, but Rohit Sharma was dismissed cheaply by Jason Holder in the Pune ODI. Virat Kohli is looking in ominous form with three centuries in three ODIs so far against the Windies and has also completed his 10,000 runs in ODI format. His century in Pune ODI was his 38th ODI century and puts him 11 behind Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 49 hundreds.

Kedar Jadhav's return might strengthen the Indian batting order | GettyAmbati Rayudu has done his selection justice and as Virat said, that he was the right batsman at no.4 spot going into the 2019 World Cup, no changes are expected at this position. MS Dhoni might still continue despite his woeful form with the bat, as he scored just 7 runs in the Pune ODI loss when Virat was looking for someone to stay with him to anchor the chase.

With Kedar Jadhav being added to the Indian squad for the last two ODIs, one might fully expect him to be drafted in the team, probably in place of Rishabh Pant, who has shown his penchant for hitting sixes, but his fielding has been short of good. Jadhav’s ability to bowl some overs gives him the edge over others.

Also, a possible replacement might be Ravindra Jadeja coming in for Yuzvendra Chahal, who was hit to all parts of the ground in the Pune ODI and everyone realized that India was a batsman short in the chase in Pune after MS Dhoni was dismissed. Jadhav and Jadeja might just be the answer to India’s woes in the lower order.

The rest of the bowling is expected to remain the same with Kuldeep Yadav doing no harm to his chances of continuing his work with a wonderful spell in Pune, while Bumrah made a very good comeback to the national colors with a 4-fer. Khaleel Ahmed is a wonderful prospect on a learning curve and is likely to keep his place in the team for Brabourne ODI, while Bhuvneshwar’s problem with expensive comeback continues and he might like to improve on those woeful figures of 1/70.

COC Predicted India playing XI for the 4th ODI:

Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli (C), Ambati Rayudu, MS Dhoni (WK), Kedar Jadhav, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Khaleel Ahmed
