The 2019 Freedom Trophy consisting of three Test matches between India and South Africa was played in October, which saw Indian team whitewash the Proteas 3-0.

It was a clinical performance by the home team with both the bat and ball, as the South African batsmen and bowlers could do nothing about the hosts’ pummeling them into submission. The Indian batsmen proved mighty hard for the Proteas bowlers to dislodge, while Indian bowlers, especially fast bowlers routed their top order with ease.
