The Indian team will be looking to complete yet another whitewash at home when they clash with the third and final ODI against New Zealand which will be played at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore on January 23, 2023.
India leads the series 2-0 and a win here will give them the no.1 ranking in ODIs and push New Zealand to the third spot. A win here will also be a huge confidence booster for the Men in Blue, who will also play a three-match T20I series post this 50-over competition.
With the series already in the pocket, the Indian team management will be looking for some changes in the XI, giving a couple of players rest and giving the bench some game time. Keeping this in mind, here is the COC Predicted Team India Playing XI for the third ODI.
The Indian batting lineup is expected to be the same with Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, and Virat Kohli being the top three. Rohit will be looking forward to scoring some big runs while Gill and Kohli have already shown they are in prime form.
Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan will expect some more batting time in the middle and would look to impress as well. Given that India has already won the series, expect Hardik Pandya to rest from the final ODI. His place can be filled by bringing in a pure batter in Rajat Patidar or replacing him with spin all-rounder Shahbaz Ahmed.
Washington Sundar and Kuldeep Yadav have done excellently well to curtail run scoring in the middle overs with their spin and have picked wickets as well.
Shardul Thakur and Mohammed Siraj are expected to continue and put pressure on Kiwi batters, while Mohammad Shami might get a breather with India unleashing Umran Malik on New Zealand for the final encounter.
Shami was the Player of the Match in the last game, but with the series won, it will no better chance for Umran to showcase some of his high speed against Kiwi batters as well.
COC Predicted Team India playing XI for third ODI:
Rohit Sharma (C), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan (WK), Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur, Shahbaz Ahmed, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Siraj, Umran Malik
