England all-rounder Sam Curran played his best ODI knock in the last game of the three-match series against India. He scored unbeaten 95 runs and kept England's hopes to win the match alive till the last over.

Chairman of Mahindra and Mahindra, Anand Mahindra, was awe-struck by Curran's innings. He praised the youngster for his fighting knock which ended on the losing side.

Curran had congratulated India after the series win by 2-1. "Lots of lessons learned, great series to be apart of. Congratulations to India," he tweeted.

Mahindra quoted his tweet and lauded the English all-rounder for the humble post. "If you're looking for the definition of heroism, humility & grace...", he tweeted.

England were chasing 330 in the third ODI and at one stage, they were at 200/7, but Curran kept going despite very little support from the other end.

He added a 57-run partnership with Adil Rashid and a 60-run stand with Mark Wood. There was an unfortunate run-out of Wood in the last over which almost sealed the game in favor of India.

But there was still panic in India's dressing room as Curran looked all set to pull off a miracle. Eventually, India won the match by 7 runs as T Natarajan defended 14 runs in the last over.
