IND v ENG 2021: BCCI releases update on injuries of Shreyas Iyer and Rohit Sharma

It seems that the injury is far worse than actually thought as ESPNCricinfo reported that the Mumbai batsman has been ruled out of the remaining two ODIs against England to be played on March 26 and 28 in Pune.

It has also been reported that he has suffered a labrum tear on his left shoulder and will require surgery, putting him out of contention for 3-4 months.

ESPNCricinfo further added that Shreyas Iyer will also miss atleast the first half of the upcoming IPL 2021 edition, where he is supposed to lead the Delhi Capitals (DC) team.

DC had made it to their maiden IPL final in IPL 2020, with Iyer making more than 500 runs in the edition. It will be a big blow for DC, missing their leader for atleast half of the IPL 14.
