The older Curran brother, Tom, and the older Pandya brother, Krunal, were engaged in a verbal spat in the 49th over of the Indian innings as the Indians were on a roll in the death overs.
Krunal Pandya registered the fastest half-century on debut in ODI cricket as he got to the mark in 26 balls in the first ODI against England at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. He went hammer and tongs alongside KL Rahul as both scored fifties to take Team India to a formidable total.

On the penultimate delivery of the penultimate over of India's innings, Krunal scored a single off Tom and jogged down to the other end. As the batsman reached the non-striker's end, the bowler had a few words to say.
Krunal, as expected from him, did not back down and was seen having a heated argument with Tom.
On-field umpire Nitin Menon tried to handle the situation himself but England wicketkeeper Jos Buttler had to come running down to the other end and intervene. He was seen sending Tom back to his bowling mark while having a word with his former Mumbai Indians teammate.
