India and England clashed once again as the two teams played in the first T20I of the five-match series. The first match began on March 12 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

England won the toss and chose to bowl first. India, on other hand, decided to go with KL Rahul and Shikhar Dhawan as the opener. India also chose to play with three spinners in Akshar Patel, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Washington Sundar.

India didn’t get off to a good start, losing KL Rahul and Virat Kohli for 3 runs on the board. While Rahul played onto his stumps off the ball of Archer, Kohli gave Chris Jordan an easy catch off Adil Rashid, as his struggles against leg-spinners continued.

This brought Rishabh Pant into the field and he made an immediate impact, hitting an outrageous shot off Jofra Archer. Archer bowled a ball on his legs, to which Pant ramped him over third-man for a six, which left everyone gobsmacked.

He followed that with a beautiful flick of his legs for a four.
