Former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer while taking to his Twitter handle predicted Indian XI for the first T20I between India and England, starting tomorrow.
Team India after thumping England 3-1 in the Test series will now shift focus onto the five-match T20I series against England.
The five T20I matches will be played on March 12, 14, 16, 18, and 20 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Motera, Ahemdabad.
The T20I series between the nations will kick start the preparations for the ICC T20 World Cup, which is set to take place in India later this year.
However, what will be India’s playing XI in the first T20I has been a hot topic for the last few days.
With the likes of Hardik Pandya and Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, Suryakumar Yadav in the squad it would be a tough call for the management to make when they choose their batting order.
Several pundits including former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer named their Indian XI for the first T20I against.
Jaffer mentioned that if Hardik Pandya is fit to bowl then he’ll pick Washington Sundar over Shardul Thakur.
