India defeated England by an innings and 25 runs in the fourth Test to seal the series 3-1. The victory in the last Test ensured India's qualification for the World Test Championship final, where they will face New Zealand.

South Africa's AB de Villiers has praised India captain Virat Kohli for his captaincy. He said Kohli is the main man behind the stunning performances of Akshar Patel, Rishabh Pant, and Washington Sundar in this Test.

Akshar picked up 9 wickets in the match, while Pant scored a hundred and Sundar added 96* runs with the bat. "Kohli’s leadership this test match allowed young guns like Axar, Rishabh, and Washie to play with freedom and dominate the game", wrote De Villiers on Twitter.

Kohli's Royal Challengers Bangalore teammate went on to laud him for lifting the morale of the players. "It takes a special leader to elevate other players around them through body language and passion when their personal performance has been down", he added.

Team India set the tone to qualify for the World Test Championship final on the Australia tour. They defeated Australia in their home den by 2-1. They had lost the first Test at home against England, but then came with a strong fightback to blow away the visitors.

Joe Root and company crossed the score of 200 only once in the six innings of the last three Tests. They were not comfortable against Indian spinners and it showed in their struggle.
