In their second innings, English batsmen were once again found out against the Indian spinners as the duo of Ravichandran Ashwin (5-47) and Akshar Patel (5-48) shared five wickets each to bundle out the visitors for a paltry 135.
Apart from Daniel Lawrence (50), none of the England batters managed to cross the 30-run mark in the second essay.
With this victory, India also secured a place in the World Test Championship final against New Zealand, slated to be held at Lord’s in June this year.
For their stunning all-round display, Team India were lauded by the cricket fraternity on Twitter.
