Team India captain Virat Kohli had an unexpected visitor for him while he was batting during the opening day of the third Test against England. A fan breached the security and ran towards Kohli for maybe a selfie.
The fan going near Kohli would have risked the secure bio-bubble and the India skipper was aware of it. He quickly told him to stay away and moved a couple of steps back.
Thankfully, the fan wasn't headstrong and he agreed to Kohli's request. He was seen running back to the stands before security guards could take the matter in control.
BCCI has allowed the crowd for the third Test which is being played at the largest cricket stadium in the world, the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. Only the first Test match of the series was played behind closed doors in Chennai.
Around 40,000 fans attended the opening day of the third Test, which is also the first international match at this stadium after its renovation.
The 32-year-old was dismissed on 27 runs in the last over of the day by England spinner Jack Leach. Kohli was tricked into playing for turn and he ended up chopping it onto his stumps. India still ended the day on a high with 99/3 on the board after bowling out England on 112 runs.
