Senior speedster Umesh Yadav will undergo a fitness test in the next couple of days, which will determine if he can join Jasprit Bumrah and Ishant Sharma in a three-prong India pace attack for the third Test against England.
The third Test will be a Day-Night affair, scheduled to be held in Ahmedabad from February 24.

According to a PTI report, the Indian team management is keen to play to its strength and there could be a turner on offer with Ravichandran Ashwin and Akshar Patel ready to utilize the conditions.
Notably, Ashwin and Akshar claimed 15 of the 20 wickets in India’s 317-run victory in the second Test. Bearing in mind the swinging pink ball under lights, the hosts might axe Kuldeep Yadav and include a third pacer.
While Bumrah is an automatic pick after rest in the second game, there could be a toss-up between Umesh and Mohammed Siraj for the third pacer's slot.
"Umesh's fitness test will happen in a couple of days time," a senior BCCI official told PTI on Friday.
Umesh Yadav has been out of action for almost two months after sustaining a calf muscle injury during the recently held Test series in Australia.
He boasts an impressive record on Indian pitches and looked intimidating during the country's inaugural Day-Night Test against Bangladesh at the Eden Gardens in 2019.
However, it will be interesting to see how dry the Motera wicket is considering there could be dew.
"Look, it doesn't matter if the ball is red or pink. If you keep a dry wicket, ball will turn and extra lacquer won't be of any consequence," a former India spinner told PTI when asked for his opinion.
"However, if there is dew then obviously the ball will start skidding and it might just be good for batting. So that can't be discounted," he further said.
