India wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant didn't allow his critics to come after him once again for his glovework. Pant showed improvement behind the stumps during the second Test against England in Chennai.

Pant was lauded by Australian great Adam Gilchrist for his brilliant wicket-keeping. The India wicket-keeper did a terrific job with the gloves and collected the balls comfortably.

When the ball takes a sharp turn off the pitch, it's not only the batsmen who get tested but the wicket-keeper also needs to stay at its best.

In the first innings, Pant took two outstanding catches off pacer Mohammed Siraj and Ishant Sharma's deliveries. But what got him praised by Gilchrist was his stumping in the second innings to dismiss Dan Lawrence.

The former Australia wicket-keeper Gilchrist praised both, Pant and the England wicketkeeper Ben Foakes for keeping admirably on a tough pitch.

"Yesterday it was Foakes, today it’s @RishabhPant17 #brilliant.", wrote Gilchrist. Pant responded to the tweet in delight and wrote, "Thanks Means a lot coming from you".
