Former England captain Michael Vaughan was humbled by India's lower-order batsman R Ashwin on Day 3 of the second Test. Vaughan had criticized the pitch for assisting spinners from the first day of the match. He believes the pitches should be made for a five-day match, not just three days.
England were bowled out on just 134 in the first innings and Vaughan's outrage got even louder after that. But after Ashwin got a hundred on the same track which didn't allow England batsmen to settle down in the first innings, the English cricket pundit jokingly called the pitch a 'road'.
"This pitch is a Road !!! ????", tweeted Vaughan after India's second innings. India scored 286 runs after 329 runs in the first innings and stretched their lead to 481.
