The 23-year-old is currently preferred for the wicket-keeper spot in India's Test team over Wriddhiman Saha. He has earned the place after consecutive good knock for his side in a tough situation.

In the first Test, Pant scored a 91-run, however, he failed in the second innings. It was an important innings from the youngster as the Indian batting line-up was falling apart.
