The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has announced a 16-men squad for the upcoming T20I series against India consisting of five matches and to be played entirely in the new Sardar Patel Stadium in Motera, Ahmedabad. The five matches will be played on March 12, 14, 16, 18, and 20.
Currently, the England team is in India participating in the four-match Test series and has won the first Test match by 227 runs in Chennai. The second Test match will also be played in Chennai, beginning from February 13, 2021.
Meanwhile, the squad sees the return of Jos Buttler, who left for England after playing in the first Test match. Ben Stokes has also been named in the squad, while regulars like Jason Roy, the Curran brothers Sam and Tom, Dawid Malan, Sam Billings, Adil Rashid, and others will also travel to India.
The touring party depart on Friday 26 February and will play five IT20s in Ahmedabad. The ECB will announce the squad for the three-match ODI series which follows the T20I series at a later date.
