Former England captain Michael Vaughan took a jibe at the Indian cricket team for not presenting a signed jersey to Joe Root on his 100th Test after the defeat on Tuesday (February 9).

Stand-in captain Ajinkya Rahane and co had gifted Australia spinner, Nathan Lyon, a signed jersey on the occasion of his 100th Test in Brisbane after sealing the series 2-1 last month.

Vaughan questioned why India didn't come up with the same gesture after the visitors won by 227 runs. "India gifted @NathLyon421 a signed shirt for his 100th Test at the end of the Gabba Win ... Did @root66 receive one today after the loss ?? Not sure if it happened? Can anyone confirm?", he tweeted.

England captain Root scored a double hundred on his 100th Test and he was picked as the Player-of-the-Match. He became the first batsman to get a double century on his 100th Test.

Fans seem to have not liked Vaughan's tweet and they went on to slam him for questioning Team India. Some believed the team will repeat the gesture after the series.
