England have had the perfect start to their tour of India with captain Joe Root hitting a masterful double ton in his 100th Test, as the visitors piled up a massive total of 555/8 at stumps on the second day in Chennai. Virat Kohli and his team toiled hard in the field with very little rewards on offer from the docile pitch.
While the team was visibly tired towards the closing stages of play on Saturday, after spending 180 overs in the field, wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant was still chirpy and tried his best to keep his teammates in good spirits. His theatrics and comments behind the wickets often left the fielders, as well as the commentators in splits.

There was also a hilarious moment when Ollie Pope was facing Ravichandran Ashwin, who bowled a full toss as the batsman got a top edge. Pant thought the ball went straight up in the air and tried to get in position to take a catch, but the ball had gone over his head and behind him, with Rohit Sharma running after it from leg-slip.
By the time Pant realised the ball was nowhere to be seen, the batsmen had collected two runs while the on-air commentators could barely believe what they had seen. If you had missed the epic moment, you can watch here:
India will hope the wicketkeeper-batsman continues his good form with the bat in this Test as the home team is under pressure to save the opening match of the four-Test series with victory now no longer a likely option after England's brilliance with the bat.
