India opener Shubman Gill posted a picture from the outdoor training session on Thursday (February 4). Taking to his Instagram account, he shared the photo in the story and added a caption that made the picture look funny. 

Gill can be seen wearing a batting helmet and the training kit while relaxing on the ground. His caption suggests he reached there way before his teammates and was waiting for others to come.

"When you're the first one there waiting for everyone else to arrive", he wrote and added a laughing emoji.

The 21-year-old had a terrific tour of Australia and he scored runs with consistency in the opening spot. Grabbing the opportunity with both hands, Gill succeeded in impressing the team management when they were looking for a reliable opener after Prithvi Shaw's failures.

India will next take on England at home in a four-match Test series. Gill would be focused to continue the good form from the Australia tour and cement his place as an opener.

Gill has a lot of competitors for the spot and knowing the team management who can surprise with chopping and changes any moment, the youngster will have to make every opportunity count.

Talking about the off-field achievement, Gill recently became the youngest person to feature in Forbes India's 30 under-30 list.
