Team India are leading the four-match Test series 1-0 | GettyThe third Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023 has been moved out of Dharamsala. The picturesque Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium was originally slated to host the fixture from March 1-5.

The venue was racing against time to be match ready after the recent renovation, and the BCCI on Monday (February 13) confirmed that the fixture has now been shifted to Indore.

“The third Test of the Mastercard Australia tour of India for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, originally scheduled to take place at the HPCA Stadium, Dharamsala from 1st to 5th March has now been moved to Holkar Stadium, Indore,” the BCCI said in a statement.

“Owing to harsh winter conditions in the region, the outfield lacks sufficient grass density and will need some time to develop fully,” it added.

Having won the opening Test in Nagpur by an innings and 132 runs, the Rohit Sharma-led Indian side is currently leading the four-match Test 1-0.

The second Test match is due to be played in Delhi from February 17 while Indore (March 1-5) and Ahmedabad (March 9-13) will host the third and fourth Test matches, respectively.
