IND v AUS 2020: WATCH- Kohli talks after getting dismissed by Bumrah in nets on eve of 1st ODI

India takes on Australia in first ODI at Mumbai on Jan 14.

Virat Kohli was all praises for Jasprit Bumrah | ScreengrabThe Indian team is gearing up for the Australian challenge as the two teams are set to meet in the first ODI at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on January 14. This is the first match of the three-encounter series with the remaining two matches scheduled on Jan 17 and Jan 19.

Meanwhile, the Men in Blue side was seen sweating it out in Mumbai in nets ahead of the first match and people witnessing the session saw a heated duel between Jasprit Bumrah and skipper Virat Kohli. Both the players got into an intensely heated duel which ended up in Bumrah getting Kohli out.

Talking about the same, Kohli said during the press conference, “Well, Bumrah is playing with the team for last four years now, and this is probably the second time I have ever got out in the net, hitting a few against him and not getting out. I'm glad that was the last ball of my net session because he ran back to his mark, but I got out. It's fun sort of competition, he's according to me the most skillful bowler and to play against him, he brings match intensity at the nets.”

Here is what Kohli had to say about facing Bumrah in nets:

Kohli also mentioned that Bumrah was not shy of hitting the batsmen on their heads and body during practice.

Virat Kohli also called India and Australia the top two sides in the world and he seemed excited to take on a full side Aaron Finch side featuring David Warner and Steve Smith. "We along with Australia are probably the top two sides in the world as far as balance is concerned, so whether it's relevant or irrelevant that's for people to decide, but as players, we are excited to play Australia, a full-strength Australia in our conditions to test ourselves against the best," Kohli said.
