Shreyas Iyer, who is known for his batting skills, showcased his bowling prowess in Mumbai’s Buchi-Babu Invitational Tournament clash against TNCA XI in Coimbatore on Tuesday (August 27).
In a video doing rounds on social media, India’s middle-order batter can be seen rolling his arm in the 90th over of the TNCA XI’s first innings.
Interestingly, Shreyas imitated his Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) teammate Sunil Narine’s bowling action, and the clip of his over took the internet by storm.
Iyer gave away seven runs in his only over of the first day’s play as TNCA XI finished at 294/5. Pradosh Paul (65), captain Baba Indrajith (61), and Boopathi Vaishna Kumar (63) made notable contributions with the bat for the hosts.
Here’s the video:
Apart from Shreyas Iyer, India’s T20I skipper Suryakumar Yadav is also part of Mumbai’s playing XI while Sarfaraz Khan is leading the side.
The trio will also be seen in action in the upcoming Duleep Trophy, starting September 5. While Shreyas will captain India D in the competition, Suryakumar and Sarfaraz will represent India C and India B respectively.
