Tamil Nadu's Shahrukh Khan continued his dazzling form with the willow in the domestic season as he smashed 194 in 148 balls against Delhi to help his side take the vital first innings lead of 42 runs.

Shahrukh more than doubled his previous best score of 92* and plundered 20 fours and 10 sixes in his whirlwind knock before he was trapped lbw by Nitish Rana, just six short of a double hundred.

The hard-hitting batter fetched a bid of ₹9 crore from Punjab Kings (PBKS) in last week's IPL 2022 Auction. He was previously also with the same franchise where he did fairly well in the limited chances that were given to him. 

He was recently included in India's ODI squad for the series against West Indies after the hosts were hit by COVID-19 and few injury issues. He did not get an opportunity to play in any of the games.

Shahrukh was well supported by Baba Indrajith who scored 117 as Tamil Nadu were bowled out for 494, in reply to Delhi's 452. Vikas Mishra was the most successful bowler for Delhi with 6/108.

BCCI Domestic's Twitter handle shared video highlights of Shahrukh's innings which changed the course of the Tamil Nadu innings as they were 162/5 at one time and in danger of falling well below Delhi's total.
