Opening the innings for Victorians, Narine played only two dots before completing his fifty (Dot, 6, 4, 4, 6, 6, 4, 6, Dot, 4, 6, 1, 6). In his knock, he hit a total of 5 fours and 6 sixes as the Victorians reached the target of 149 runs in just 12.5 overs.

Narine had a good opportunity to break the jointly held record of former India batter Yuvraj Singh, West Indies great Chris Gayle, and Afghanistan batter Hazratullah Zazai, who scored a 12-ball 50.

Here are the highlights of Narine's knock:

Earlier in the match, the Caribbean cricketer had given away only 24 runs in his four overs. He ended up winning the Player of the Match award for his performance.
