Former England captain Michael Vaughan believes the standard of Pakistan Super League (PSL) is close to the Indian Premier League (IPL), the number one T20 league in the world.

Currently, the seventh season of the PSL is going on in Pakistan. The National Stadium, Karachi, is going to host 15 matches, while the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, will host 19 matches including the playoffs.

Vaughan posted a tweet and lauded the tournament for being the second best T20 league in the world. He added that PSL is "not far off" India's cash-rich league in terms of the standard of cricket.

"Pakistan Super league is the 2nd best T20 Tournament in the World .. it’s not far off the IPL either .. Outstanding standard of cricket," Vaughan tweeted on Tuesday (February 1).

Islamabad United, Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars, Multan Sultans, Peshawar Zalmi, and Quetta Gladiators are the six teams in PSL. The likes of Shaheen Afridi, Babar Azam, Rashid Khan, Ben Cutting, Sherfane Rutherford, Tim David, and Imran Tahir are part of the league.
