Imran Tahir had trapped Najibullah Zadran in front of the stumps and appealed for an LBW. Aleem Dar gave the batsman out, but he reviewed. Replays confirm that no bat was involved and it was three reds for the batsman.

All of this was shown on the big screen in the ground and as soon as all three reds were displayed, Hetmyer raised his finger in jest, which saw Aleem Dar sporting a huge smile on his face, as he too raised the finger to send Zadran back.

Multan Sultans batted first after losing the toss and posted 176/5 in 20 overs with Rilee Rossouw and Khushdil Shah making 44 runs each.  In reply, Karachi captain Babar Azam slammed 85 and Chadwick Walton made 35, but the Kings fell 12 runs short at 164/7.

Imran Khan picked three and Tahir picked two wickets.
