Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2021 league stage match between Islamabad United (ISU) and Quetta Gladiators (QTG) has been rescheduled to Tuesday, March 2 after ISU spinner Fawad Ahmed tested positive for COVID-19.
Fawad Ahmed had already gone under isolation a couple of days back after his COVID-19 tests returned a positive result. The rest of the ISU squad also underwent a round of tests and everybody returned a negative result. As a result, the rest of the players can play the game on March 2.
Islamabad United tweeted from their official account, "One of our players, Fawad Ahmed tested positive for Covid and was immediately put in isolation 2 days ago. All other Islamabad United players and members have tested negative and have been cleared to play. We wish Fawad a speedy recovery."
