Karachi Kings’ captain Imad Wasim hailed pacer Mohammad Amir as the best bowler in the world after their seven-wicket win over Multan Sultans in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2021.

Wasim is impressed with Amir for being effective with the ball even on flat tracks. Speaking during the post-match presentation ceremony, he said, “I always believe he [Mohammad Amir] is the best bowler in the world, not just in Pakistan."

"Even on flat tracks, he's bowling so well. I always back him. I think he's the best bowler in the world I've played with. I think he's executing it very nicely,” added Wasim.

Amir picked up one wicket and gave 34 runs in four overs, which included a maiden over.

Multan scored 195/6 in the first innings and Wasim was happy with the performance of his bowlers. He felt the bowlers did well to save 15-20 runs.

“It was tough the last defeat but we knew we could come back. Credit goes to the bowlers first. The way we finished at the end was fantastic. I think we saved almost 15-20 runs at the death,” he said.

Apart from Babar Azam's 60-ball 90* in the chase, England’s Joe Clarke scored a quickfire 26-ball 54 runs as Karachi won the match with 7 balls left.

“I call him [Joe Clarke] 'Box-Office'. He's box-office basically. He just goes in and plays shots, not just slogs, but he's a gun player. He's proving that he's a very good young player,” he concluded.
