St Kitts and Nevis Patriots pulled off their first win of the Caribbean Premier League 2020 this Tuesday (August 25), defeating Barbados Tridents by six wickets in Trinidad.
Batting first, the Tridents posted a total of 151/7 in 20 overs. Johnson Charles (24), Shai Hope (29) Corey Anderson (31) and Ashley Nurse (25) got starts, but no one kicked on to play an innings that would've propelled the Tridents to a better total.

Jon-Russ Jaggesar (2/17) picked up two scalps, while skipper Rayad Emrit (1/23), Alzarri Joseph (1/32), Imran Khan (1/36) and Sohail Tanvir (1/39) got a wicket apiece.
In the run-chase, opener Evin Lewis (89) played an outstanding knock and with support through twenties from Denesh Ramdin (20) and Ben Dunk (22*) took his team to a much-needed win.
Tridents skipper Jason Holder (1/18) bowled an economical spell, so did Rashid Khan (1/24) while Kyle Mayers (2/14) picked up two wickets. But there weren't enough runs to play with.

In the second game of the day, Guyana Amazon Warriors suffered their third loss of the tournament after struggling with both bat and ball versus Jamaica Tallawahs.
The Tallawahs restricted Warriors to just 108/9 in 20 overs after deciding to bowl first on winning the toss. Fidel Edwards (3/30) and Mujeeb Ur Rahman (3/11) bagged six wickets between them and never allowed the opposition batsmen to get going.
Twenties from Ross Taylor (23) and Naveen-ul-Haq (20) helped Warriors go past the 100-run mark.
In the second half, while it wasn't all smooth sailing for the Tallawahs, they still prevailed at the end.
Glenn Phillips (26), Jermaine Blackwood (23) played well, before overcoming a middle-stutter, Nkrumah Bonner (30*) and Andre Russell (23*) finished off the proceedings quite nicely.
Imran Tahir (1/23), Ashmead Nedd (1/17) put a decent leash on run-scoring and Haq (2/35) picked up two wickets after his useful batting effort. But the Warriors needed a lot more to compete after a torrid first half.
