Philippe's reaction on getting bowled reminded fans of this Pakistani spectator

Sydney Sixers’ wicketkeeper-batsman Josh Philippe lost his wicket to Melbourne Renegades spinner Tom Andrews in a very unfortunate manner in an action-packed Big Bash League (BBL) match at Marvel Stadium on January 02, 2020 (Thursday).

The bizarre dismissal took place during the 18th match of the ongoing ninth season of the BBL 2019-20 when Philippe was clean bowled by Andrews’ ankle-length delivery in Melbourne

Philippe was looking to extend his knock of 33 off 30 balls against the hosts but his innings were abruptly cut-short by Andrews during the 10th over of the match when he tried to play a short delivery against the spinner on Thursday.

However, the 22-year-old was correct with his judgment to hit across the line but minimal bounce on the delivery saw the ball passing him at a height close to his ankle, resulting Philippe missed the ball altogether, as the ball crash into the middle stump to leave the batsman in a shocking state.

Following the weird dismissal, the social media team of the BBL has shared Philippe’s shellshocked reaction after the ball hit the stumps on Twitter with a caption: “tfw when the ball doesn't bounce like it's supposed to #BBL09”

Later, the BBL’s official Twitter page shared a cult meme of a Pakistani fan standing in utter shock with another picture of Philippe in disbelief to compare the two, reads: “Compare the pair #BBL09”
