Team India’s Test vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane and teen prodigy Prithvi Shaw are set to turn out for Mumbai in their next crucial encounter against Karnataka starting on January 3.
After suffering an embarrassing defeat at the hands of Railways in their second game, Mumbai has decided to retain the international stars in Rahane and Shaw for their next game against heavyweights Karnataka in the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2019-20.
The two were named in the 15-member squad announced by the Mumbai Cricket Association on its website on Monday (December 30) with Shreyas Iyer, Shivam Dubey and Shardul Thakur were left out from the squad as the trio would be on the national duty from next month.

Noteworthy, following the Karnataka clash, Mumbai will travel to Chennai on January 11 to take on a struggling Tamil Nadu side in the ongoing Ranji tournament.
