India captain Rohit Sharma is known to occasionally lose his passport, phones, and other possessions, but on Sunday, he lost the trophy in the media room after the post-match news conference after India won the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Dubai.
Rohit spoke to the media after India defeated New Zealand in the final of the ICC Champions Trophy, discussing several intriguing issues, including his retirement.
However, after the press conference, Rohit failed to take the trophy with him and walked away from the dais. A member of the media support staff looked at Rohit Sharma and then picked up the trophy and reminded Rohit of the valuable asset he had left behind.

Rohit has a history of forgetting things. He frequently leaves his phone and passport at hotels and team buses. Fans, however, weren't expecting him to overlook picking the Champions Trophy, which he had just won.
After Rohit made his ODI future clear, the moment of forgetting occurred. The captain stated that he has no plans to leave the format anytime soon.
"I am not going to retire from this (ODI) format. Going forward please don't spread rumors. No future plans. Jo ho raha hain, woh chalta jayega (Whatever is happening will keep continuing)," Rohit said at the post-match press conference.
