Mohammed Siraj was booed by the Adelaide crowd after he gave local boy Travis Head a fiery sendoff after dismissing him on day 2 of the second BGT 2024 Test.
Head, who has been a continuous thorn in India's side from the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup final to the ICC World Test Championship final, had hit a superb 140 from 141 balls before falling to Siraj.
Mohammed Siraj was noticeably irritated throughout the day because the rub of the green did not go his way, despite bowling brilliantly in the first session of play. Travis Head took Siraj to the cleaners after the Australian star scored more than three figures.
The incident happened in the 82nd over of the contest. After a boundary to begin the over, Head hit a Siraj delivery into the deep fine-leg stands. However, the next ball, Siraj castled Head with a beautiful yorker.
Head was not pleased with the impassioned bowler's behavior and screamed back at Siraj, resulting in a heated moment on the field. The Adelaide fans rallied up for their hometown hero, cheering his efforts that helped Australia's lead grow to more than 100 runs.
When Head went off the pitch, the ovation turned into boos for Siraj. Siraj faced the crowd's music throughout his spell.
