Cricket Australia was left embarrassed as the flood lights of the Adelaide Oval ground lost power on day one of the ongoing day-night Test between Australia and India that began on December 6.
The floodlights went out at the Adelaide Oval during the third session as India tried their hardest to get some more Australian wickets before the day's play ended.
Cricket Australia's stunning failure ruined the second innings of the ongoing Test match. During the 18th over of the innings, the floodlights at the Adelaide Oval in Adelaide went out, and play came to a halt for a brief moment.
The lights went out for the first time after Harshit Rana bowled his second delivery in the 18th over. However, it was only a brief pause because the lights were turned back on shortly after the play resumed and the pacer continued his over.
But two balls later, the lights went out again, which didn't bode well for Harshit Rana. The India team pacer was enraged by the development as there was yet another interruption in play.

After India was bowled out for 180 runs with Mitchell Starc taking 6/48, Jasprit Bumrah made the first break for India, removing Usman Khawaja in the 11th over. Since then, Marnus Labuschagne and Nathan McSweeney have managed to keep Indian bowlers at bay.
On the other hand, the fans on social media made fun that there was a day-night Test going on without the lights in the night.
