Shubman Gill had some fun with his India teammate Yashasvi Jaiswal and also got India captain Rohit Sharma involved as the Men in Blue side reached Adelaide for the second BGT 2024 Test that begins on December 6.
India landed in Adelaide on Monday, having completed their pink-ball warm-up match in Canberra on Sunday. They won by six wickets over the Australian Prime Minister's XI. The match also marked Rohit's return to the tour after missing the series opener due to the birth of his second kid.
In a video posted by the BCCI on Tuesday, Jaiswal is seen caught in a 'no entry zone' while Rohit scolds him in a brotherly manner. Gill swiftly discovered a remedy for Jaiswal but halted Rohit in an attempt to prolong the mischief.
"He got stuck. It says no entry right there. It will open if we go close. Only if we go close," Shubman smiled as he said, while Rohit scolded Jaiswal, saying, “Why did you go there?”
Sarfaraz Khan and Washington Sundar had a humorous conversation in the second half of the film while shopping at the airport.
When the India batter tried on a black hat, he thought the all-rounder reminded him of Mogambo, an iconic Bollywood character played by the late Amrish Puri in Shekhar Kapur's 197 classic 'Mr. India'.
Here is how the conversation:
Sarfaraz: “Wear this bro, you will look like Mogambo.”
Washington: “I don't like the ccolor I look like a magician.”
Sarfaraz: “No, you are looking like Mogambo. Do you know that movie? Mogambo?”
Washington: “No.”
The pink-ball Test will begin on December 6 at the Adelaide Oval, as India will look to build their lead on their 1-0 lead in the 5-Test series after wiwinningn Perth Test.
