India captain Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill were seen in a joyous mood in the dugout during their pink ball practice game against PM’s XI in Canberra. The two-day practice game was curtailed to a 46-overs per side encounter on day 2 after the first day’s play was washed out due to rain.
PM’s XI posted 240 runs with Sam Konstas making 107 and Hanno Jacobs scoring 61 runs. For India, Harshit Rana took 4/44. In reply, India batted their full quota of 46 overs and scored 257/5.
For India, Shubman Gill, returning from a thumb injury, scored 50, while Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul, Nitish Reddy, Washington Sundar, and Ravindra Jadeja had a good hit in the middle.
During the match, Shubman Gill, Rohit Sharma, and Abhishek Nayar were seen having some fun. Gill was seen telling something to Rohit, while Nayar egged Gill on. Harshit Rana was seen listening intently.
Then Gill said something to Nayar, who was patting his back and it resulted in Rohit Sharma elbowing Gill in the chest and everyone busted out in laughter.

"It was fantastic (the match and the win). We got what we wanted as a group. It was a bit unfortunate that we couldn't play the entire game, but we made the most of the time we had. Absolutely fantastic (to see the crowd). We love coming to Australia, and it's always great to see fans turn up to support us. There's never been a time when they haven't shown up. It's really nice to see people coming out and cheering for us," Rohit Sharma said.
