India batter Virat Kohli was not a very happy fella after he was forced to dive to make his ground after his partner Rishabh Pant refused a quick single during the second day of the ongoing second Test between Bangladesh and India in Mirpur, Dhaka.
India had dismissed Bangladesh for 227 runs with Umesh Yadav (4/25) and R Ashwin (4/71) being the pick of bowlers and Mominul Haque with 84 the top-scorer for the hosts. India had finished day one on 19/0.
However, Taijul Islam ran riot at the Indian top order as he first dismissed KL Rahul for 10 runs and then accounted for Shubman Gill in the same fashion for 20 runs. The dangerous Cheteshwar Pujara looked good for his 24 before Taijul had his number, leaving India 72/3.
Then Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant had a small partnership during which one particular incident caught the eyes of fans everywhere when the senior cricketer was mightily unimpressed with the young keeper-batter.
On the last ball before lunch, Kohli had given the delivery from Mehidy Hasan Miraz a slight push towards the on-side and started for a single; however, Pant didn't reciprocate to the India batter, forcing Kohli to make a dive back to his crease.
After Kohli made his ground, he looked back at Pant and gave him a death glare showing his displeasure, while Pant approached him cautiously. However, things calmed down and they fist-bumped each other while walking to the dressing room.
