Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz made a school boy error, resulting in his embarrassing run out during the Asia Cup 2025 Super 4 match against arch-rivals India at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday (September 21).
The incident unfolded in the penultimate over of Pakistan’s innings bowled by Indian pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah.
Facing the third delivery of the over, Pakistan skipper Salman Agha mistimed a shot straight to the fielder and completed a run along with Nawaz.
However, Nawaz was taking things casually and he paid the price for it. The left-hander showed no awareness and failed to ground his bat in the crease. He wasn't even looking at the fielder who threw it and caught him short of the crease.

For his causal approach, Mohammad Nawaz faced trolling from all quarters. BCCI’s official X account also roasted him for the silly error.
Nawaz’s dismissal on 21 off 19 balls reduced Pakistan to 149/5, but Fahim Ashraf’s unbeaten cameo (20* off 8) propelled the Men in Green to 171/5 in 20 overs.
