Rohit Sharma, India's batting powerhouse, has begun preparations for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Australia, which will take place later this month. The Australia ODI series will begin in Perth from October 19 onwards.
Rohit, who famously led India to the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 title, was spotted batting at Shivaji Park in Mumbai ahead of his ODI comeback.
Rohit has undergone an impressive fitness makeover ahead of the ODI series against Australia. The batting great has shed a significant amount of weight by following a strict nutritional overhaul that focuses on a balanced, nutrient-rich diet low in carbohydrates and high in protein.
Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma was seen batting hard in the nets against both spin and pace bowlers. He was even seen batting in a cap, which is rarely seen.

According to reports, Rohit, along with famous batsman Virat Kohli, will likely play in the Vijay Hazare Trophy (VHT) 2025 before the New Zealand ODI series in January.
Rohit's last appearance in the domestic tournament occurred in 2018. Rohit remained unbeaten on 33 in his last VHT assignment, playing for Mumbai against Bihar in the quarter-finals. In the semi-final versus Hyderabad, he scored 17 out of 24 runs.
