India’s bowling coach Bharat Arun has heaped praise on his fast-bowling “heroes” who kept fighting against all odds at the end to help the tourists record a historic Test series triumph in Australia.

Battling so many injuries on the tour, the Indian Cricket Team had shown a lot of courage as the young brigade made sure to nothing come their way to retain the Border-Gavaskar Trophy on the Australian soil when no one believed in them to upset the favorite hosts.

Firstly, Team India made a brilliant comeback in the second Test to win the Boxing Day MCG Test by 8 wickets and then pulled off an even more stunning draw in the Sydney Test despite playing with an injured XI.

However, India reserved the best for the climax that was the Brisbane Test – where the tourists were without their star bowlers Jasprit Bumrah and R Ashwin, but still, their new-look bowling attack managed to stun the entire world.

The young India team breached Australia’s fortress to pull off a magical 3-wicket win in the final Test to clinch the Test series 2-1 and retain the Border-Gavaskar Trophy on January 19.

India’s new bowling heroes Mohammed Siraj, Shardul Thakur, T Natarajan, and Washington Sundar played an immense role in their historic win at The Gabba and the bowling coach said he would choose the same bowling unit again and again for the future Australia tours.

Arun told Times of India:Who would've thought. A pacer is like a racehorse. A stallion. If I have to keep coming to Australia again and again for such demanding tours, I would pick this same set each and every time. They were given a canvas and they painted themselves, heroes.”

He signed off by saying, “Imagine the horror when Saini too ran the risk of injury. But not once did these boys flinch. They woke up each morning and strode out like champions. They were determined to prove themselves. We all knew there was nothing to lose. It's their determined spirit and resolve that saw India through.”
