Bollywood's legendary actors, Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan, congratulated Team India on a series win in Australia that will be remembered for a long time. India won the final Test at Gabba by 3 wickets to secure the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
India, who played the last three matches without Virat Kohli, came back stronger after the first Test defeat at Adelaide. Ajinkya Rahane, the stand-in captain scored a hundred at MCG to level the series. They drew the Sydney Test before coming to Brisbane and finally did the unthinkable to win the series.
India needed 324 runs to win on the last day in Brisbane. Looking for a draw initially, opener Shubman Gill smashed 91 runs to give India hope of a win. Senior batsman Cheteshwar Pujara's 211-ball 56 made sure they don't lose too many wickets and then 23-year-old Rishabh Pant's unbeaten 89 runs secured a victory.
