AUS v IND 2020-21: WATCH - Washington Sundar smashes Nathan Lyon for a 'no-look' six

Sundar hit the ball so cleanly that he was confident of a six against Lyon.

India's lower-order batsman Washington Sundar played a game-changing knock at Gabba on the third day of the final Test match against Australia. He scored 62 runs off 144 balls to put up a strong fightback in the first innings.

One of the many good shots from Sundar which put everyone in awe came against Nathan Lyon, who is playing his 100th Test. He smashed him for a six over the long-on. What made the shot so attractive was his attitude on that hit. Sundar wasn't even looking where the ball went after hitting it cleanly.

That must have annoyed the spinner Lyon, who is currently 3 wickets short of 400 Test scalps. Australian bowlers looked frustrated with the flawless effort from Sundar and his batting partner Shardul Thakur, who also got a half-century.

At one stage, Australia seemed to get a lead of over 100 runs in the first innings with ease after India lost Rishabh Pant at the score of 186. But Sundar and Shardul put up a partnership of 123 runs for the seventh wicket to get India back in the game. They were bowled out on 336 in reply to Australia's 369.
