Hanuma Vihari batted with hamstring injury | GETTY

India's hero from the third Test against Australia, Hanuma Vihari, on Wednesday (January 13) shut down Member of Parliament Babul Supriyo for criticizing his innings at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

Vihari had survived 161 deliveries to ensure a draw in the third Test. Not to forget, he was batting with a hamstring injury throughout his innings which made the knock special. He may have scored only 23* runs, but staying in the middle enduring the pain of injury made him a hero.

Supriyo had posted a tweet questioning the approach of Vihari in the 407-run chase and said if not for his innings India would have won the match.

"Playing 109 balls to score 7 ! That is atrocious to say the least•Hanuma Bihari has not only killed any Chance for India to achieve a historic win but has also murdered Cricket.. not keeping win an option, even if remotely, is criminal. PS: I know that I know nothing abt cricket (Sic)," the post read.

It was a bizarre tweet from the playback singer and he got criticized by fans for the post which made him look foolish. Even Vihari responded to the post a couple of days after the match. He simply corrected his name in the tweet which was written as 'Bihari'.

The cold response from Vihari was loved by the fans and he got around 10k likes on the post in no time.
