India and Australia were involved in an intense Day 5 of the third Test at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Australia, known to be sore losers, tried everything they could, to distract the Indian batsmen from saving the Test match.
The Aussie skipper Tim Paine was heard talking to Ravichandran Ashwin from behind the stumps, who was already battling the tough bowling and a bad back. While Paine began with words that could be labeled as 'sledges', he very soon went over the top and abused the Indian batsman.
Their conversation was heard on live TV as the stump mic was turned on.
Here is the conversation:
Paine; Can't wait to get you to the Gabba, Ash

Ashwin; Can't wait to get you to India, it'll be your last series

England pacer Stuart Broad opined that the sledging is a part of classic Test match cricket but the language used by Tim Paine was far from ideal. According to him, the Australian skipper will not get away with the language he used to sledge Ashwin.
He tweeted, "This is all a part of the game. The Test match battle but Painey won’t get away with that Language with the Laws above."

The Test series is level at the moment with both teams winning 1 each and the third game ending in a draw.
