India wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant had a tough day on the field during the third Test's opening day on Thursday (January 7). Pant was criticized for dropping two catches of Australia's debutant Will Pucovski.

Pucovski went on to score a half-century, fully utilizing the two lifelines. The first chance came to Pant when R Ashwin bowled beautifully to produce an edge.

Pant couldn't hold on to the ball and Ashwin was in shock seeing an easy catch put down. Pucovski survived again after Mohammed Siraj managed to trouble the 22-year-old with a bouncer. He gloved the ball which was dropped by Pant after a failed dive.

Fans were not pleased with Pant's glovework and the Twitterati immediately expressed their disapproval. Some also went on to tweet about Wriddhiman Saha's inclusion in the side.

Saha is considered a techinically better wicket-keeper, but he was replaced in the side because of his batting failures. On the other hand, Pant hasn't done too well with the gloves which is a headache for the team.
