Indian cricket fans came in support of India vice-captain Rohit Sharma after it was alleged that he had consumed beef, while out for dinner in Australia along with his India teammates. Rohit has been vocal about animal rights on social media and was called a hypocrite after a restaurant bill went viral on social media.
An Indian-origin fan who met Rohit, Rishabh Pant, Shubman Gill, Navdeep Saini, and Prithvi Shaw had paid their restaurant bill out of love. But him sharing the picture of the bill on social media turned out to be a big mistake.
The bill showed an item that had beef in it and the players were wrongly slammed for their choice of food on social media.

All five players are currently under isolation and they will train separately from the rest of the players for safety reasons. Fans on social media trended '#IStandWithRohit' on Twitter after Rohit received the undeserving criticism.
