Team India opener Prithvi Shaw got off to a poor start in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy by getting out on a duck. He was bowled by Mitchell Starc on the second delivery of India's innings in the first Test at Adelaide.
Twitterati wanted Team India to go with Shubman Gill for the first match, and when Shaw got out playing a loose shot, they were not happy. The 21-year-old was turned into a meme as soon as his dismissal.

Starc pitched the ball a little up to Shaw and the India opener failed to move his feet while going for the drive which took an inside edge and gone it onto his stumps.
India was two down at the end of the first session on day one with a score of 41 runs. The other opener, Mayank Agarwal fell for 17 runs off a tough delivery from Pat Cummins to tackle.
