All-rounder Moises Henriques has been recalled to Australia's Test squad after four years for the Adelaide D/N pink-ball series opener versus India starting Thursday (December 17). Henriques has taken the place of Sean Abbott, who has been ruled out of the game with a calf strain.
Henriques missed the second three-day practise game against the Indians with a low-grade hamstring strain, but upon clearing a fitness test on Monday (December 13), he was considered good to go.

"All-rounder Moises Henriques has been added to Australia's squad for the first Vodafone Test against India after the hosts' camp continues to be hit with injury," a report in cricket.com.au said.
Abbott has become the latest player to be injured within the Australian camp after David Warner (groin strain) and Will Pucovski (concussion). However, he is expected to be back for the Boxing Day Test at the MCG.
"Fast bowler Sean Abbott will not travel to Adelaide with Henriques and the remaining Australia squad members from Sydney today after picking up a calf strain in the day-night tour match at the SCG on Saturday," the report said.
Henriques, who last turned in the Test whites on the 2016 tour of Sri Lanka, got back in the national set-up with the T20I series against India.
He is the second late addition to the Test squad after opener Marcus Harris, who was roped in with both Warner, Pucovski out and Joe Burns struggling for form.
Another member of the Test squad, uncapped Cameron Green too looks set to miss the game in Adelaide after copping a blow to his head in the second warm-up game and battling a concussion scare. It is understood, Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood were carrying niggles as well.
