India's Mohammed Siraj showed good sportsmanship during the first day of the second tour match against Australia A. Aussie pacer Cameron Green was hit on his head after Jasprit Bumrah, who scored 55*, struck the ball hard right back to him.
Green, who was on his follow-through, couldn't react fast enough to dodge the ball. He was down on the ground and Siraj, at the non-striker end, left his bat and ran towards the pacer to check if he's fine.
The 21-year-old was taken off the ground and the latest reports say, Green won't be playing the tour match anymore under the concussion protocols and was subbed out Patrick Rowe for the match.
"#SpiritofCricket non-striker batsman Mohd Siraj quickly rushed to check on Cameron Green, who got hit on the head by a Jasprit Bumrah straight drive.", wrote BCCI on Twitter.
Even Australia's journalist Chloe-Amanda Bailey was impressed with Siraj's gesture towards Green. "How is this for sportsmanship? Green cops one in the face, Siraj goes straight to check on him.", she tweeted.
